Mission of Trinity’s Children Youth and Family Ministries

To love our children.
To provide opportunities for children’s lives
      to be transformed through Jesus.

To equip children to serve the world.

This is our commitment. What an exciting time we face as we look ahead to a new generation of ministry! We recognize the time is now to invite families to join together with congregation members as we begin the partnership of celebrating the faith life of children.

This is our goal: To make each journey unique, while equipping families to connect ministry discoveries with daily life in the home, schools, and beyond.

Through observation, personal conversations and the latest research we recognize...
•  Faith formation was originally the responsibility of the family. Traditional Sunday School classes originated in 1780, to help prevent orphan children from descending into crime.
•    The number one influence in a child’s faith development is the mother. The second influence is the father. By adding three to seven additional caring, invested, adult relationships in a child’s life, the child’s long-term active participation in a faith community increases by 65%.
•  Faith formed through trusted personal relationships is the primary way to impress faith on a child’s heart. The second is through personal experiences.
•    Children decide what role church will play in their adult lives by the age of 11 (boys) and 13 (girls).
•    By investing in ministries that serve families with children from birth to three years of age, a faith community will increase continued active participation in overall elementary and adolescent years by 45%.
•  Trinity congregation members and parents alike desire our children to grow deeper in their personal relationship with Jesus.
