What to Expect
- The work is very similar to working in typical food service businesses.
- The people you serve are not all homeless; some live in temporary
apartment housing. All races are represented that include men, women
and some children.
- There are four roles on the truck: Greeter/Beverage,
Condiment/Snack, Plate Prep, and a Clothing Distribution (garage sale
style). We can rotate as your personality and comfort level dictates.
Needs:
- Adult backpacks. Please deposit in JESUS Delivers bin.
- Individuals or couples who would be interested in leading mission trips; training will be provided.
- Winter gear for adult men and women including pants, shirts,
sweatshirts, coats, hats, gloves (singles welcome), socks, blankets,
and sleeping bags.
- Hygiene items including soaps, shampoo, wash cloths, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, lip balm, etc.
- Volunteers to help on Mondays or Tuesdays even if just serving and cleaning from 1 to 4 pm.
