Become a Partner in Ministry
We believe it is important to equip, support, and give ALL people (members and non-members) an opportunity to be key players in God’s mission and ministry. The Trinity community is made up of many small groups who strive to:
- Love, respect and include all people.
- Grow and live out our faith in our daily lives.
- Be committed to justice in the world.
If it is your desire to become a member of Trinity Lutheran in Stillwater, we invite you to enter our new member process which begins each fall with an orientation at the end of September. Besides a delicious meal and provided childcare, Trinity’s mission, vision, and theology will be presented at each orientation.
The second part of our new member process is very exciting! Between orientation and the following December 31, you, as a new partner in ministry, will participate with other new partners and an assigned group leader in one of two tracks (of their choosing).
Track 1: Your assigned small group and leader will decide when to meet three more times before the end of the year. These one-to two-hour gatherings have proven to be a wonderful way to help you connect and belong and will center on the topics of mutual care, equipping ministry, and adult learning and growing.
Track 2: From a list of varied mission/service opportunities, you will pick three. Whenever possible, your hands-on experiences will happen alongside other new partners and a group leader. Evaluation of how each experience connected with your strengths and passion will be incorporated.
The third part of our new member process is just plain fun! This is the part where our whole congregation gets to publicly welcome and receive you! This happens sometime in early January .
Please contact Julie Jolivette at jjolivette@trinitylc.org if you are interested in membership at Trinity.
