Middle School Ministries Overview

Middle School Faith Formation at Trinity consists of the Confirmation program and various other camp, service, or social events throughout the year. The Confirmation program runs on a four-year cycle, with 6th, 7th and 8th graders in one section and 9th graders in another. We meet from 6:15-7:30 PM on most Wednesdays, October–April in the Worship Center and Garden Room at Trinity. Our system is a large-group/small-group set up, with a large group presentation followed by small group check in and conversation about the topic taught. Each child is put in a small group of about 6-8 with a caring adult leader at the center. We strive for much more than simply instruction—we want kids to learn, of course, but we also want kids to connect with each other in small groups and share the Highs and Lows in their life. In short, we want our program to be about ministry as much as instruction.

Students - We want you to know:

  • This is a place for you and your friends to feel welcomed and included in a small group with a caring adult leader (we call this person a "Guide") to, well, "guide" things along
  • You will be challenged and engaged, but never talked down to
  • It is a place where learning, service and fun activities come together to help you discover more about God and yourself

Parents – We want you to know:.

  • We use innovative curriculum, programs and experiences to make faith come alive for your child
  • You are the most important person in your child’s faith development and we are here to equip you, support you, and walk with you as your child grows in faith
