GLOW Hiking, Biking and Camping at Jay Cooke State Park
Friday, June 27-Sunday, June 29
Cost: $30 (All trip payments are non-refundable.)
Minnesota State Park permit required for vehicles entering the park
Travel to Jay Cooke State Park located about two hours north of Stillwater near Duluth. The centerpiece of the park is the St. Louis River, which cascades through Jay Cooke’s steep rock canyons. Scenic hiking trails wind along the bluffs of the river, and the paved Willard Munger State Bike Trail travels through the park. Bikers and hikers of all ambitions will find varied exercise opportunities in a wondrous setting. Friday and Saturday night tent camping and electrical campsites for RVs will be available. The park has showers and flush toilets. We will leave Stillwater and arrive at the park on Friday evening with enough daylight to set set up camp and explore the park.

Food, campsite options, and equipment will be discussed at a planning meeting on Tue., June 17, 7 p.m. at Trinity.

Sailing in the Apostle Islands

Come sail your cares away under the sun and beautiful stars of Lake Superior. Sail in groups of six with a licensed captain.

Winter Adventure at Camp Menogyn

Thursday, February 5-Sunday, February 8
Cost: $250

Experience God’s creation at beautiful Camp Menogyn on the edge of the BWCA in Northern Minnesota. Activities include snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, dog sledding, and even a sauna with a dip in a frozen lake. Bring a book to read by the fire. The food is good (we don’t have to cook or do dishes).
