| You are invited into a renewing community of life-giving ministry and hope-filled vision. You are invited to experience the joy, vitality, and promise of our mission and vision. You are invited to journey together on the common ground of God’s generous gifts to us.
Before you respond to this invitation, know God’s promise: Wherever you are in your faith journey, however great or small are your needs and resources, whatever paths you choose, “You are my beloved son. You are my beloved daughter. With you I am well-pleased.” – Luke 3:22Capital Appeal Summary
What is Being Asked of You:You are invited to make two financial commitments:
1. 2010 Annual Giving Commitment to support the mission and ministry of Trinity. Our Goal: A prayerful consideration from each family to increase this year’s giving by 5% Rationale: Trinity’s ministry is expanding and growing because we are growing in our faith and our ability to make an impact in the world. Our budget is a statement of faith that reflects praise, thanksgiving, education, purpose, outreach, mutual care, communication, and sharing. God is doing good things in and through our community of faith.2. Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal Commitment to fulfill the vision set before us. Our Goal: $1.3 million in 18 months Purpose: • Fund the purchase of the Drive-In • Complete the US Postal Service move to a new building on Third Street • Improve the lighting and sound in the Worship Center • Provide financial resources to develop a Master Plan and a Phase One Plan to improve our main facility beginning in 2011 • Place our mortgage payments into a capital budget, freeing our operating budget from capital expenses • Dedicate 10% of all Capital Appeal funds raised to missionsInstructions1. Begin with prayer: Generous God, who bestows grace upon grace with overflowing abundance, We thank you for your continual provision for us and for all creation. Stir up your Spirit in us, that we might recognize these gifts, be thankful for them, and share your abundance. Ask much of us, expect much from us, enable much by us, encourage many through us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
2. Immerse yourself in gratitude: True gratitude does not depend upon material possessions. It is enriched by accepting the bad with the good. It increases with giving more than with receiving. It flourishes at the moment that we realize that God’s grace is over us and around us, and that nothing can separate us from God’s loving grace. We rejoice, not because of all the good things in our lives (although we should not fail to do that), but because in God’s grace “our names are written in Heaven.” – Luke 10:20
3. Read all the materials you have received and prayerfully consider your response to your 2010 Annual Giving commitment and your Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal commitment.

What happens next, after the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal is over? The Trinity for Tomorrow design team will be working with our architect and the congregation to take all the information gathered over the past two years and begin to show and discuss options for improving our beautiful main facility. This coming year Trinity will be discussing how to address several questions: - How can we provide a welcoming entrance for those parking in the new city ramp to our east? - How do we make our facility more accessible for young families and aging members? - How can Trinity best use the land that the USPS currently occupies? - How can Trinity improve our gathering and hospitality space to maximize the wonderful sense of community Trinity has? We anticipate the development of a Master Plan and a detailed Phase One Plan in 2010 to address these needs in a creative and exciting way.
A Message from Pastor Dan
I am very grateful for a congregation that is willing to dream and act. Trinity has a long history of making bold and decisive moves for the future. Now it is our turn. My hope is that you will answer this challenge and partner with others to make the necessary investments in our future. Trinity needs every individual and family to participate – imagine what we can do if every one of our 1500 families takes part – what potential we have!
The successful completion of the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal will mean that we have given ourselves the chance, as a community, to dream. We will take the next year to have a great conversation about the needs and opportunities that lie in front of us. The opportunity to shape this ministry for the years to come is ours, but only if we meet our goals now.
When we are done with the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal, we will be a stronger congregation. More people, in fact a whole new generation of people, will have invested in our future. When we have met this goal we will have the courage, the momentum and the excitement to dream of the next future for Trinity.
My confidence comes from the history of Trinity – time and time again, this congregation has taken big leaps into the future, and God has blessed its courage and foresight. This step is rather modest in comparison with the earlier bold moves of our predecessors. My confidence comes from a God of abundance and the hearts of a grateful people. God has certainly given us the resources to make this move into the future, and Trinity is increasingly a generous people with grateful hearts. I am excited about our life together, inspired by our past, and confident of our future. Please join me and the leadership of Trinity as we move toward a Trinity for Tomorrow.
