Can we do it?
Yes we can. Trinity is blessed with an abundance of gifts and resources. There is a spirit of hope and expectation alive today in
our congregation and willingness to imagine new possibilities for the future. As we respond with grace and gratitude to the invitation of the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal vision, we will achieve our goals.

What is the spiritual focus of this effort?
As we share our blessings for the sake of God’s dream for our world, we are changed. The Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal invites us to experience the joy, vitality, and promise of a shared mission and vision. Our focus is on growing as followers of Jesus and experiencing more deeply the meaning that comes as we share who we are and what we have for the sake of the Gospel.

Am I being asked to make a commitment to both the Capital Appeal and 2010 Annual Giving?
Yes, we are being invited to make two commitments. First to support our current and growing ministry through our Annual Giving in 2010 and second to make a commitment over and above our annual pledge to support the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal.

How will I be contacted for my response?

During the weekend of November 7 -8, a packet will be given to you in worship that will include your response card. These packets will also be mailed to every Trinity home on November 9. Our Appeal Commitment and Celebration Weekend is November 21-22. Everyone is invited to bring their response card to worship on Celebration Weekend. If you are unable to be in worship that weekend you may drop your response card in the Church Office, bring it to worship the following weekend or return it by mail.

What should I give?
Most importantly, we are invited to give out of a spirit of gratitude and generosity. Pray for God’s guidance and direction, reflect on your blessings and desire to make a difference, and share your resources with a sense of expectancy that your giving will bring deep meaning to your life and your spiritual journey.

How long will the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal last?
The giving period for our Capital Appeal is 18 months beginning in December, 2009 and running until May, 2011 (giving to the 2010 Annual Ministry begins in January 2010). Your response card gives you options on how you want to share your gift. Some people will want to share one large gift up front, while others will choose to give weekly or monthly.

What happens after the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal ends?
Beginning in January of 2010, the Trinity for Tomorrow Design Team will begin working with our architect, Tom Johnson of HGA. Based on the facility study HGA and Trinity conducted in the spring of 2008, and interviews with ministry leaders since that date, a Master Plan for our current facility and the property that the USPS currently leases will be developed, as well as a detailed Phase One Plan. All of this work will be done in conversation with the whole congregation through a series of information meetings and discussions. The resulting plans will give us a vision and a plan to improve our facilities to better support our ministries and mission in the years to come.

May gifts other than cash be made?
Absolutely. For many people giving gifts of stock or other appreciated assets is the best way to give. Additionally, meaningful tax incentives may be recognized to consider a gift of this kind. If you would like more information on this topic, consult your financial advisor or you may call our development partner, Kairos and Associates, at 651-289-3207.

What will it take to make Trinity for Tomorrow a great success?

Each of us, on our own and in our families, needs to pray about and thoughtfully consider our part in this important time in our life together as a faith community. As we give generously to support the vision of Trinity for Tomorrow, the shape and scope of the ministry we share will grow and we will be changed along the way. Trusting in that promise and in one another will allow us to meet and exceed our goals!

How does the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal connect to our vision for current and future mission and ministry?
Our congregation is growing and thriving. The Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal is about taking the next step in growing Trinity by faithfully responding to God’s call to Love, Transform, and Serve. Successfully meeting this challenge will strengthen our current ministry, provide a strong foundation for future growth, and give us an opportunity to dream together about how we can maximize our land and facilities for the advancement of our mission for years to come.

What is the financial goal of the Capital Appeal and how will the dollars be invested?
Together we will raise $1.3 million or more to accomplish these goals:
•    Fund the purchase of the Drive-In
•    Complete the US Postal Service move to a new building on Third Street
•    Improve the lighting and sound in our Worship Center
•    Provide resources to develop a Master Plan and a Phase One Plan to improve our main facility using the land vacated by the US Postal Service
•    Free up financial resources for current ministry by placing our mortgage payments into a capital budget

Will there be a Mission and Outreach component to the appeal?
Yes! Trinity’s long commitment to mission beyond ourselves is an important part of the Trinity for Tomorrow Capital Appeal. We will dedicate 10% of all appeal funds received to mission. These dollars will be over and above our current mission support and will be directed to new outreach in our Stillwater community as well as opportunities around the world. So if we meet our goal of $1.3 million, $130,000 will go to support mission opportunities – a great statement of our commitment to missions.

Why Now?
It has been 30 years since we have put our shoulders to the task of investing in the spaces needed to do great ministry. As we gather momentum and grow in numbers and vitality we are ready to move forward to meet this challenge. God has given us great opportunities to touch and change lives in Jesus’ name in our time and place. It is our turn now to answer that call boldly and faithfully for the sake of our shared mission.
