Earthkeepers

To live out God’s call to “tend and keep” the earth." (Genesis 2:15)

What We Do

The Earthkeepers are a ministry team dedicated to helping our church community live more sustainably and in deeper connection with all of God’s creation. Grounded in the belief that creation care is an expression of faithful discipleship, the Earthkeepers lead initiatives that reduce our environmental impact, work with key partners, foster ecological justice, and reflect our calling to be stewards of the earth.

Over the years, the Earthkeepers have championed meaningful and practical change within the life of our congregation. Their efforts have included:

  • Establishing recycling and composting systems to reduce waste.
  • Supporting community gardens that nourish both people and the land.
  • Leading a solar panel initiative to shift toward renewable energy.
  • Retrofitting our building with energy-efficient LED lighting.
  • And most recently, collaborating on the development of an electric vehicle (EV) charging station to support clean transportation.  For more information and/or to support the EV Charging Station project, see below.

Through hands-on projects, education, and advocacy, the Earthkeepers inspire our church to live out God’s call to “tend and keep” the earth (Genesis 2:15), reminding us that sustainability is not only environmental—it is spiritual, communal, and sacred.
