Welcome to Children's Ministry

Trinity's Children's Ministry nurtures young hearts through joyful learning, meaningful relationships, and experiences pointing to God’s love.

Sunday School Returns

For our youngest members Sunday School will be held between worship services beginning September 20, we will begin our class at 10:15 am and conclude at 10:45 am. Join Pastor Kristine in the LADC classroom in the lower level, simply follow the footprints you’ll encounter on the floor and the signs guiding you on the wall!

Parents and their children are welcome, especially pre-school and grade school children.  We will hear stories of Jesus as he heals, restores and forgives God’s people.  We will create a picture or a memory to remind us of God’s love throughout the week.

Come join us as we learn together!

NEW! Monthly Parent Gatherings

We will begin our Wednesday evenings for Confirmation
students and their parents, and anyone who wants to learn together, on September 16. Gathering in the River Room, everyone is welcome to come for a meal beginning at 5:30 pm.  As a group we will gather for devotions and communion, following our meal at 6:15 pm.

Our first parent offering will be held on September 16 beginning at 6:45 pm.  We will welcome Pastor, Teacher Tim Hackbarth. Tim will talk with us about the Intersection between Learning, Growing and Faith. Tim is currently
serving as a first-grade teacher in the Stillwater school system. He knows a lot about faith and kids, and he will share his insights with us. You
won’t want to miss this opportunity!

Faith Milestones

Faith Milestones

Lifelong faith formation is continual.  No matter how young or old you might be, we are always learning more about God and God’s promises.  This year we will invite children, youth and their parents to Faith Milestones. During the month of January 2027, we will offer classes on holy communion, worship, Bible discovery and celebrate your baptismal anniversary.  Check back on this website for more information on registering you and your child for this important life
passage opportunity … in the near future.

Nurturing Faith Together

Explore our programs designed to support faith formation for children and families at every stage.

Worshipping together is key to lifelong faith. We encourage families with children (birth-3) to focus on Sunday morning worship foundations, and Trinity strives to make it friendly and accessible for all.

  • Calm Lounge: Located in the Chapel (adjacent to the Worship Center), this space is for children (with a caregiver) needing diaper changes, feeding, or a quiet space for big feelings. Worship is livestreamed here.
  • Grace Spaces: Inclusive spots in the Worship Center and Narthex for children (and others) to play, color, and comfortably engage in worship.
  • Worship Bags: Found near Grace Spaces, these age-specific bags (check tags) contain books, activities, crafts, and fidgets. Please help keep them tidy!
  • Sunday Open Gym: The Gym is open for families between worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m. Supervision is provided for parents attending Faith Forum.

Sunday Mornings

Worshipping as a family is vital for lifelong faith. We encourage families with young children (birth-3) to focus on Sunday morning worship.

  • 9 am & 11 am Worship: Worship Center with Grace Spaces and the Calm Lounge (Chapel) available.
  • 10-10:55 am: Supervised Open Gym (caregivers can stay or attend Sunday Faith Forum).

Wednesday Evenings

Faith Lab (Ages 4 – Grade 5): Join us from 5:20-6 pm in the Narthex for dynamic faith exploration. We dive into biblical stories through engaging activities, art, and discussions, focusing on listening, reflecting, and sharing God's love.

Wednesdays also include:

  • 4:30-5:15 p.m.: Youth Choir Rehearsal (K-MS)
  • 5:30 p.m.: Community Meal Service (River Room)
  • 6:15-6:45 p.m.: Dinner Church worship (all ages)
  • 6:45-7:45 p.m.: Small Groups (Middle School Confirmation, Adult Faith Lab, FAFA, Supervised Gym Play for younger children)

At Trinity, we celebrate faith formation as a joyful journey for all ages and stages! We offer special milestones designed to help young children and their families grow in faith together. These foundational steps include:

  • Communion Preparation
  • Bible Discovery
  • Baptism & Baptism Anniversaries
  • Worship 101

There are no age requirements; all children and families are welcome to explore these significant steps in their faith walk.

Director: Sonia Esch

Ages: Kindergarten through Middle School

Welcome all super singers! We rehearse on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 p.m. in the Choir Room (behind the Worship Center).

The Youth Choir sings in church once a month, alternating between the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services as worship leaders. Highlights include singing with an Orchestra and the Trinity (Adult) Choir in December, and presenting a musical at church in May!

Contact Sonia Esch to sign up or if you have questions.

Trinity proudly partners with Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) to offer preschool and childcare, meeting high demand since our site opened in 2006. We host LADC's largest Pre-K classroom, a beautiful indoor gym, and a community playground built with Trinity Lutheran Church and Stillwater Headstart.

LADC fosters a creative environment, promoting Christian values, honoring diversity, and encouraging fellowship.
