Confirmation is a significant milestone in a lifelong faith journey, offering students an opportunity to affirm the promises made at their baptism and embrace their faith. Wednesday Evenings: Our program centers around Dinner Church at 5:30 p.m. in the River Room, followed by Small Groups from 6:45 – 7:45 p.m. Wednesday Night Flow: Evenings typically include Youth Choir rehearsal (4:30 p.m.) and Faith Lab (5:20 p.m.) for younger children, before the Community Meal Service (5:30 p.m.), Dinner Church worship (6:15 p.m.), and Small Groups (6:45 p.m.) for all ages. The Confirmation Structure: Our program uses a large-group/small-group format, focusing on ministry and instruction. Small groups, led by caring adults, emphasize connection, sharing, and growth beyond just lessons. Our Process Pillars: Learning: We cycle through Old/New Testament basics, Luther's Catechism, and more, using engaging teaching methods like art, music, and skits. Service: Students participate in various service events throughout the year, fostering a servant heart. Past events include meal packing and mission trip support. Play: Fun small-group experiences, lock-ins, and retreats build strong bonds and encourage deeper conversations. Home: We partner with parents/caregivers, providing tools like weekly emails and "FAITH5" sheets to encourage regular faith conversations at home. "All-In" sessions offer practical advice from specialists. Dates to Know: Sunday, October 26, 2025: Confirmation Day for current 8th graders (more info to come).
